Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

This journal accepts articles and original submissions that have not been published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors maintain their copyright, as indicated by the license Creative Commons BY-NC 3.0. The author must send the article in Word format to the editorial board at the following address: francesco.cerrato@unibo.it

The review accepts articles in Italian, English and French. Any contributions will be double-blind peer reviewed.
Authors have the opportunity to re-publish the post-print of their essay. Following “Governare la paura”'s policy, authors can be authorized, if previously requested, for the re-publication either of the refereed draft version and of the last editorial version of their essays published in the journal. Regarding this, authors will have to mention, in the new publication site, the bibliographical references of “Governare la paura” as the first place of publication.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

It is necessary to submit also an abstract in English (max. 700/800 characters) and a brief biographical note about the author or authors.

Manuscripts should have a maximum length of 60000 characters (with spaces and including notes and bibliographical references) and the following editing guidelines:

We prefer the use of a ‘standard’ font 12-point Times New Roman.

SPACE: 1,5

We recommend the use of FOOTNOTES for references. Examples from common cases:

Monograph: M. Rossi, Psicologia dell’arte, Roma-Bari, Laterza, 2009, p. ?? or pp. ??-??

Translated monograph: M. Red, Psicologia dell’arte (2008), trans. by..., Milano, Feltrinelli, 2010

Article in a journal, C. Bianchi, Per una nuova psicologia dell’arte, in «PsicoArt», 2010, n. 1, pp. ??-??

Article in a collection of essays with editor: F. Verdi, L’arte e la psicologia, in L’arte contemporanea. Studi e metodologia d’indagine, a cura di R. Verdi, Torino, Bollati Boringhieri, 2008, pp. ???

Footnotes indicator: Before punctuation

BIBLIOGRAPHY: Instead of a final bibliography we prefer the use of footnotes; when it’s not possible, the author can add some references at the end of the text, according to the quotation rules above indicated.

IMAGES, PHOTOGRAPHS, FIGURES must be in jpg

CAPTIONS FOR PICTURES: Author, Title, Date, Place

QUOTATIONS: For short quotations (less than four lines) use the guillemets and leave the text in round. For longer quotations (more than four lines) use a smaller font (11-point) and single space the quotation from the rest of the text.

BRACKETS: Use the round brackets in the normal text and the square brackets in case of lacks in the quotation.
